Palmetto Pediatrics' is a patient centered medical home through the National Committee of Quality Assurance (NCQA). The goal of a medical home is to improve the patient and physician relationship. This quality-focused model replaces acute illness care with care based on prevention, care coordination for chronic diseases and a long-term healing relationship with a healthcare team that is centered on the needs of the patient and their family. With the patient at the center of this approach, technology and electronic data allow physicians to track a patient's history, including lab tests and medications, which reduces costs, avoids duplication of tests/exams, and encourages proactive planning for both prevention and chronic disease care. Quality is measured through patient satisfaction surveys which can be accessed here, on our website, as well as rigorous assessment and review. Palmetto Pediatrics continuously works to improve care and communication with our patients and parents through quality improvement initiatives.
Whether you call our office during business hours or in the middle of the night for medical advice your questions will always be answered by a licensed pediatric nurse (BSN, RN or LPN).
